Should we still have spelling bees?

Like everything in this world spelling bees have really positive things and some negative aspects.

There are 2 positive things spelling bees generate. First they make a young person be committed to something and try to achieve their goal this creates persistence and discipline. The second one is that instead of doing worthless things like playing dumb games and spending a lot of time out of their homes they can make this a family activity that everyone can enjoy.

In the negative part I see a lot of bad thing. For example the teen has to go through so much stress while they practice. This also takes out time out of their friends and they will grow up to fast. Even though they all say that getting there is already an accomplishment in their head all of them want to win and it is a big deal for them. So out of more than 200 kids only one goes out really happy while the rest go out disappointed thinking on what they need to improve for next year.

In conclusion if a teen wants to do this they should and no one should stop them if it is their passion. In the other hand a parent should never make a kid go through so much stress if they don’t want to.

What I learned:

·         Green computing is the term used to denote efficient use of resources in computing

·         Their goal is to keep using computers the same way but the only thing that would change would be that we would do a less impact on the earth

Short summary:

In computers class we have to make a technology project. We chose to do video editing because we think we can make vary interesting things that can end up being pretty cool. To do this we have to choose a film that we can edit ton do dubbing. Our ideas are to make a funny film with a regular movie. The movies we are thinking to use are:

At the end we want to present an interesting video to the class. Our main goal is to do something very funny. We are going to try to put some effects on the film, and put some songs. Summary:

Going to college in the US is more complicated than what you think. You have to consider a lot of things. Some of the most important things to consider are: the price, the location, and ways to pay it. There are over 100 ways to pay collage. In the United States the average price for a normal collage is 20,000 dollars. One way to get in to college that is getting more popular every day is scholarships. A scholarship is when the university tells you to study for free just so that you have their name. There are many ways to get a scholarship but the 2 that are more popular are by good grades and by playing a sport.
